The Penrith Library, in conjunction with State Archives NSW, the Nepean Family History Society and local bookbinder Ted Chapman, are hosting a day to help people research and preserve their local history.
State Archives will present talks on the NSW State archives collection and how to access the records, and the preservation of historical documents. Nepean Family History Society members will provide guidance and advice on all matters family history. Ted Chapman will present a workshop on bookbinding techniques. Penrith Library staff will also be presenting talks on researching local and family history.
Penrith Library's Research Room will be open all day with staff avaialble to help people researching the local area.
Tickets will be available from 1 March 2017 and there are limited spaces. Light refreshments - tea, coffee and biscuits - will be available all day.
